This involves collecting meteorological data at the proposed hub height, as local obstacles like trees and buildings can cause turbulence and reduce efficiency. Maximum energy output is normally achieved in wind speeds of around 25 to 35 mph.

GEE wind turbines must be installed by a qualified, accredited GEE professional to ensure the structural tower mounting design uses the most appropriate strength materials for best safety, reliability, and performance. Note that wind turbines of all types are generally not suitable for mounting onto buildings and roof tops due to generation of wind turbulence, noise, vibration and other potential structural damage issues that this can create.

GEE offers a site suitability assessment service to help ensure wind turbines are positioned optimally for wind speed and direction for best performance. Positioning of the wind turbine at location and height to access consistent smooth wind flow is often more important than occasional high speeds for total energy production. GEE wind turbines typically generate more energy per annum than other small wind turbines in their class.

Most of GEE's small wind turbines have an automatic overspeed-governing or braking system that shuts them down at a "cut-out" speed (at wind speeds of around 55 to 65 mph) to prevent mechanical damage.

The customer is generally responsible for providing adequate access for vehicles and personnel during GEE wind turbine delivery, installation, and maintenance.

Along with a well designed supporting tower, the installation of GEE wind turbines must comply with relevant safety rules and standards, such as the Microgeneration Certification Scheme Planning Standard (MCS 020 - wind turbines) .

GEE wind turbines are specifically designed for operation in climate conditions experienced in Nepal including wind speed, temperatures and altitude. An accredited installer is needed to check parts and ensure safe operation. This typically involves lowering the tower (if hinged) for a full inspection. All GEE wind turbine products offer low maintenance, typically requiring only a biannual service.

Depending on location, small wind turbine electircity generation systems may be grid-connected. Generally this will requiree approval from the electricity grid provider along with installation of a suitable import / export meter to manage energy flow.

Batteries are optional for grid-tied systems but essential for off-grid power to store energy for use when the wind is not blowing. For off-grid systems, a charge controller prevents battery overcharging.

Energy surplus to requirements can normally be stored in a battery system for later use.  If grid connection is possible, then excess electricity can be sold back to the utility with net metering. 

If grid-connected, your premises automatically draw power from the main electricity grid. If off-grid, stored battery power or a hybrid system (e.g., with solar panels or a diesel generator) covers the demand.

GEE wind turbines typically come with a 2 [?] year warranty, with a minimum design longevity of 20 [?] years with regular servicing.
